German Dog Study - Mobility DC Joint Health & Mobility

STUDY DESIGN

  • Multicenter, non-randomized, uncontrolled study with one treatment group
  • Dogs with a lameness score of at least 2 (6 point scale 0-5) on day 0, no other medication or feed supplements for osteoarthritis or no prior surgery were enrolled in the study
  • Lameness was evaluated by the veterinary surgeon on days 0, 15 and 30
  • Dogs were administered a course of 30 days of treatment
  • Dog owners documented the treatment and completed a questionnaire on the effectiveness applicability and acceptance of Hyalutidin (Mobility DC) at the veterinary office on days 0, 15 and 30
  • 29 dogs completed the study (30 dogs enrolled, 1 failed to complete the study due to heart failure)

CONCLUSIONS:

  • Even in a small sample size the study demonstrates that a 30 day course of treatment with Hyalutidin (Mobility DC) achieves a significant improvement in clinical lameness from various types of osteoarthritis
  • The lameness as assessed by the veterinary surgeons improved in 72.4% of the dogs over the study period
  • An assessment of the dogs condition by the dog owners  showed an improvement in 93.1% of the dogs
  • Clear improvement was seen in dogs with severe lameness
  • No side effects were reported
  • Palatability of the product was rated very good
  • A small number of dog owners complained of difficulty reading the measuring cup and the sticky consistency of the product
